LDS Leather Company is a small family business situated in the heart of leather country. Our family has a long history of training, working with, competing with, living with and loving dogs. As a result, we certainly understand that all dog lovers deserve far better for themselves and their dogs than the run-of-the-mill mass produced leather equipment sold by other dog supply stores. Every piece of equipment you select from LDS Leather is made right here in Oklahoma, USA by our family for yours. Each piece is beautiful, comfortable, durable, tough and going to last a long time.
Placing an Order
We are continually adding more products to our Shopping Cart System for ordering online. Since we are a custom leather shop and design and produce so many unique and one-of-a-kind products, we will never be able to provide online ordering for everything. So, while we are updating or if you need something you don't find in our online system, please order by phone, email or fax. You can reach us by phone from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday central time. You can order by fax 24hours per day 7 days per week.
Shipping, Cancellations & Returns
Shipping
- Need to know your shipping costs? When shopping online, just add an item to your basket and then enter your zip code into the shipping estimator. You can ask for a shipping estimate each time you add an item to your basket.
- Most non-custom orders ship within 1 business day.
- Personalized or customized therapy and service dog vests usually ship within 7 - 10 business days. Please note that method of shipment does not affect production time.
- For hand made leather products, delivery varies widely depending on the contents of not only your order but of those ahead of you. It is not unusual for products from custom tack and leather shops to take 30-120 days for delivery with orders around the holidays taking the longest time. So, if you're ordering for Christmas, order early!
- Custom service dog harnesses usually ship within two weeks except during the holidays.
- If you give us an incorrect or incomplete address and your package is returned to us as non-deliverable, you will not receive a refund, you pay to re-ship and your delivery will be delayed. Please be sure that your address is complete and accurate.
- Be sure to be available to receive your insured package. If it is returned to us unclaimed, refused or return to sender, you will not receive a refund and you pay to re-ship.
- Minimum shipping to Canada is $30.00. Minimum shipping to other countries is $60.00.
- Shipping charges may not reflect actual carrier fees but may also include handling, processing and other fees.
- We ship Monday through Friday. We don't ship on these holidays: New Year’s Eve, New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas and at other times when either we or the carrier is closed.
- Reporting of proper delivery by carrier shall be accepted proof of proper delivery. Signature proof of delivery is not required to prove proper delivery.
- We ship USPS Priority (standard) and USPS Express (expedited).
- Selecting expedited shipping does not imply a rush order. All orders are filled in the order received. If you require a rush order, you will need to contact us by phone. Not all requests for rush orders can be accommodated so your best practice is to place your order well in advance of event or travel plans.
- LDS Leather Company reserves the right to require a signature upon delivery and to bill any and all signature confirmation fees to the credit card provided without special notice.
- Your custom items are insured so if the carrier loses or damages your items, an insurance claim shall be filed and your items will be replaced at no charge to you once any insurance claim filed on your behalf has been paid.
Order Cancellations
- Order cancellations must be received in writing via our cancellation form. To cancel an order, Click Here
- Order cancellations cannot be accepted by phone. There are no exceptions.
- Any order for which the credit card has been billed and which is in production cannot be cancelled. The order will be completed and shipped and is not eligible for changes, credits or exchanges.
Returns, Custom Leather Products
- All of our leather products are custom, hand crafted items individually produced for each customer. Except in the case of defective or incorrect item (see below), hand crafted leather items are not eligible for credit or exchange. If you return them, they will be donated to a rescue of our choice. You will receive no credit or exchange.
- Any Item that has been personalized with embroidery, engraving, patches or other personalization is not eligible for credit or exchange. If you return them, they will be donated to a rescue of our choice. You will receive no credit or exchange.
- If you receive an incorrect or defective leather item, you must notify us in writing via email within three (3) calender days of delivery to request an EMA (Exchange Merchandise Authorization. To do this, Click Here. You must be specific as to the reason for your EMA request.
- Note that leather is a naturally occurring material and may have range or game marks that add to the interest and character of the leather. Range and game marks and the repair of these marks by the tanneries that provide both finished and unfinished leather hides are not considered defects.
- Leather products which do not fit because of incorrect or improper measurements on the part of the customer are neither incorrect nor defective. Customer takes full responsibility for providing correct measurements and for reading and following all fit and measurement instructions and information. Products are guaranteed to properly fit the measurements provided.
- Once an EMA has been approved, you must return the item postmarked within seven (7) days of the date the EMA was issued. Returns received with improper shipping date will be refused and the EMA is void.
- Customer pays to return the product. We do not pay return postage and we do not provide prepaid shipping labels.
- Shipping, handling and insurance costs are not refundable under any circumstances.
- Assessment of all claims for not as described, damaged items or defective items and the remedy in the form of repair or replacement of items are done at the sole discretion of LDS Leather Company, LLC and all decisions are final.
- No item that is returned used, damaged, dirty, containing dog hair or dander, slobbery or with teeth marks is eligible for exchange, regardless of the reason for its return.
- We do not provide refunds for custom leather products under any circumstances. Any leather item found to be incorrect or defective will be promptly replaced at no cost to you.
Returns, Non-Leather Products
- To return a non-personalized, non-leather item, a return merchandise authorization is needed. To obtain one, make your request in writing by clicking here. Be specific as to the reason for your request. Telephone requests are not accepted.
- All non-leather returns must be postmarked within seven (7) calendar days of issuance of an RMA. All requests for an RMA must be received within three (3) calendar days of the date of delivery. You pay to return the product. We do not pay return shipping and we do not provide prepaid shipping labels.
- Any Item that has been personalized with embroidery, engraving, patches or other personalization is not eligible for return or exchange. If you return them, they will be donated to a rescue of our choice. You will receive no credit or exchange.
- We do not provide refunds for custom or personalized non-leather products under any circumstances. Any personalized item found to be incorrect or defective will be promptly replaced at no cost to you.
- No item that is returned used, damaged, dirty, containing dog hair or dander, slobbery or with teeth marks is eligible for exchange, regardless of the reason for its return.
- Service fees for sewing on patches and other personalizations are not refundable.
- The fee for removing embroidery is $5 per character. The fee for removing patches is $5 per patch.
- All non-leather items accepted for return are subject to a 50% restocking fee, which is calculated after shipping, handling, insurance and service fees, including but not limited to removal of patches and embroidery are deducted from the total cost of the order.
- Assessment of all claims for not as described, damaged items or defective items and the remedy in the form of repair or replacement of items are done at the sole discretion of LDS Leather Company, LLC and all decisions are final.
- Original shipping, handling and insurance costs are not refundable under any circumstances.

Without exception,
LDS Leather Company will not sell, trade or rent your personal information including your address, e-mail, or accounting information to any other entity, no matter what. We will not contact you about issues other than an order placed without your permission. We value our own privacy and we respect yours. We use the information you provide to process orders and to create a more personalized shopping experience. Unless you specifically and knowingly provide such information, LDS Leather Company will not collect any personal information about you.
Information collected from all visitors
While you are browsing the LDS Leather Company Web site, anonymous information will be gathered in our computer system log files. This information does not allow us to identify you personally. For example, such information may include the type of Internet Browser you are using and the pages visited. This information enables us to make improvements to our web site and your shopping experience.
Information collected if you make a purchase
When you purchase something on our site, we collect personal information from you including your shipping address, credit card number and the email address to use for order confirmation. This information is collected using encryption technology to prevent any third party from intercepting the information. Your credit card information is only used for completing the purchase transaction and is retained only as necessary for legal and administration purposes.
Information collected if you subscribe to our newsletter
If you subscribe to our newsletter (a double opt-in process) we'll collect your email address. We will not sell, rent, trade or in anyway share your email address with any other entity. When you unsubscribe your email address is deleted from our subscription list.
Updates to our policy
As our Web site evolves over time or our data handling policies change, we will update this privacy policy. Changes made to this policy will be effective immediately following the posting of the new policy on the Web site. If we make significant changes to our data handling practices, we will make efforts to notify our active customers in other reasonable ways that may include an administrative email or other notice. This privacy policy will be governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Oklahoma. Sorry, we do not have a printed catalog. There is no way we could put so many beautiful hand made products into a manageable catalog! Let our imagination, expertise and skill design the piece that is just right for you and your dog.
